Tullahoma Regional Airport has hosted two of AOPA’s fly-ins, one in 2016 and again in 2019, both well attended, successful events.

TDOT - Aeronautics Division…2017 Airport of the Year: Tullahoma The 2017 TAC Award for Airport of the Year was presented to Tullahoma Regional Airport/William Northern Field for their outstanding work in developing capacities for economic development while continuing to support their standard flying activities.  KTHA is home to over 100 based aircraft experiencing approximately 26,000 flight operations per year.

Additionally, the airport is the home of the world class Beechcraft Heritage Museum, which remains a consistent year-around visitor attraction and host of the annual Beech Party in October of each year.

  • The Beechcraft Heritage Museum property adjoins KTHA and the Airpark.  The museum is a world class facility, home to over thirty vintage aircraft.  Airpark guests are often treated to a guided tour of the Museum.  Membership is available for the like minded.  Visit the museum @

  • Arnold Air Force Base is home to Arnold Engineering Development Complex which operates an array of aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels.  Thus Tullahoma is known as Wind Tunnel City and boasts the theme of Aeronautical Excellence all along the main street thru the City.

  • A three-minute drive from the Airpark to shopping, banking and an array of restaurant options in down town Tullahoma

  • Drive five minutes northwest of the Airpark and see nature in many forms:  open fields of corn/wheat/soybeans, winding roads/paths, babbling creek/waterfalls and wildlife.

  • Drive south toward Winchester or east toward Manchester and see the Appalachian Mountains approaching.  Four lakes and a state park are within 15 minutes.  Monteagle Mountain is a 25-minute drive.  Go back in time, to the mid 1800's, on a driving tour of the University of the South in Swanee atop Monteagle Mountain.  Return to Tullahoma through the quaint little town of Cowan and take in the Railroad Museum and cookie shop.

  • Several interesting attractions are just a few minutes away through a picturesque countryside.   Jack Daniels Distillery is open everyday in nearby Lynchburg offering tours of its sprawling and vibrant operation.  George Dickle Distillery is located nearby in Normandy also offering daily tours and venues for large family gatherings and weddings.

  • Lakewood Golf and Country Club of Tullahoma boasts an 18-hole course with a pro shop, a fabulous restaurant and outstanding chef, tennis courts and a beautiful new outdoor pool and moving water feature on the east side of the City

  • Picturesque lakes lie in all directions...Woods, Normandy, Bedford Lake, Tims Ford...all just a short drive to enjoy boating, fishing and skiing

  • And finally, Chandelle Airpark HOA dues are currently $500/year.  That's not a typo…annual dues are $500.  The HOA maintains all common areas and taxi ways.  If you are considering buying a lot when available and building your own home, our Architectural Requirements are outlined in the Covenants & Restrictions.  Copies available on Airpark Info tab as a download.
